수량형용사, some과 any 의 쓰임

오늘은 학교 시험문제로도 자주 나오고, 실제로 헷갈려서 틀리기 쉬운 수량형용사와, 
some, any의 쓰임에 대해 정리해 보려고 합니당 ^^

항상 강조하지만, 너무 외울려고 들지말고 예문을 통해 자주 보다 보면 어느새 자기것이 되어 있다는 점~!
기억하면 될 것 같습니당 ^^

수량형용사

1. many, much

many + 셀 수 있는 복수명사 vs much + 셀 수 없는 명사

• There were many people in the stadium.
• We'd better not spend much money while traveling.
• There isn't much time to waste.

many와 much 대신 a lot of, plenty of로 쓸 수 있다.

a lot of 는 긍정문에 많이 쓰인다.

• Many Hollywood films sell to all the world.
= A lot of Hollywood films seem to all the world.
= Lots of Hollywood films sell to all the world.
= Plenty of Hollywood films sell to all the world.

so/too + many, much

• There are so many restaurants near my apartment.
• I put too much sugar in my coffee.


2. few, a few / little, a little

few + 셀 수 있는 복수명사 (거의 없는)  vs a few + 셀 수 있는 복수명사 (약간의)

• There are few people on the street.
• There are a few people on the street.

little + 셀 수 없는 명사 (거의 없는) vs a little + 셀 수 없는 명사 (약간의)

• I have little money left in my wallet.
• I have a little money left in my wallet.

only a few 적지 않은  vs  quite a few 상당수의

• Only a few people lived on this island at first.
• Quite a few people live on this island now.

only a little 아주 약간의

• I could speak only a little English.

some, any의 쓰임

some : 일반적으로 긍정문에 쓰인다.

some + 셀 수 없는 명사 / 셀 수 있는 명사

• My teacher gave me some advce.
• Some farmers were working on the field.


some of 복수명사 + 복수동사   /    some of 단수명사 + 단수동사

• Some of the students have to prepare for the festival.
• Some of his information is not right.


권유나 요구를 나타내는 의문문

• Why don't you eat some cookies?
• Can I have some more Juice?


긍정의 대답을 예상하는 의문문

• Were there some phone calls for me?


some이 불특정한 일부를 나타낼 때 부정문에 쓸 수 있다.

• Some students don't obey the school policy.

any: 일반적으로 부정문과 의문문에 쓰인다.

any + 셀 수 없는 명사 / 셀 수 있는 명사

• I don't want any more food.
• I didn't find any errors.
• Is there any milk left?


any + 단수 명사      (긍정문에 쓰여 / 어떤 ~ 라도)

• You can take any bus here.
• You can invite any people to the party.


not ~ any = no        (조금도 ~ 않는)

• There aren't any children in the park.
 --> There are no children in the park.


조건문에 쓰인다.
