수능기출문제 2011 수능 기출문제

막바지 문제를 풀때는 집중력이 흐트러지기 마련인데, 사실 뒷 부분 문제들은 조금 긴 성향이 있긴 합니다.
그렇지만 정작 본문만 제대로 이해한다면~ 큰 어려움 없이 쉽게 먹을 수 있는 문제들이기도 합니다.

아래 47번 문제가 조금 짱구를 많이 굴려야 하는 논리적인 사고력이 요구되는 문제인뎅 .....
요것도 개념만 해석하면서 머리속에 잘 정리해서 맵을 만들어 놓는다면 ...
막판에 머리속에 저장된 맵에서 적절한 어휘를 삽입만 시키면 되는 간단한 문제일 수도 있습니다.

장문독해 정리가 잘 되지 않았다면 자칫 뒤죽박죽되어 오답으로 갈 수 있는 함정이 있는 문제이기도 합니다.

Many peopel believe that it is critical to share similar, if not identical, beliefs and values with someone with whom they have a relationship. While this may seem preferable, it is far from mandatory. Individuals from extremely diverse backgrounds have learned to overlook their differences and live harmonious, loving lives together. I've seen people from opposite ends of the spectrum economically and politically that ended up in happy, lasting marriages. I've seen couples from different ethnic groups merge into harmonious relationships, and I've seen people form different religions come together for a strong, lasting bond. Furthermore, many good friends have little in common except a warm loving feeling of respect and rapport. That's the only essential thing.
People who enjoy the best relationship with others, who live life with the least frustration regarding their differences, have learned that differences are to be expected, a fact of life. This understanding must go beyond a mere intellectual "I know we're all different." You must truly own this idea and incorporate it into your daily life.
The way i see it, we have only two realistic choices.
We can _________ the principle of separate realities and remain frustrated and angry over the fact that no one seems to conform to our way of thinking, or we can strive to understand what in Eastern philosophy is called "the way of things." Separate realities is the way things really are. Everyone is unique and has different gifts to offer. When we look for these gifts we will surely find them - and in doing so, we will open the door to a world of personal growth.

많은 사람들이 믿죠... that 이하를요 ... 유사한 (만약 동일하지 않더라도 조아) 믿음과 가치를 누군가와 공유하는게 중요하다는 걸요..그 누군가는 바로 그들이 관계를 맺는 사람들이죠. 요게 선호되는 것처럼 보이지만, 의무와는 거리가 있죠.

Individuals from extremely diverse backgrounds have learned to overlook their differences and live harmonious, loving lives together.

각 다양한 환경의 개인들이 배웠습니다....그들의 차이점을 너그러이 봐주도록요.... 그리고 조화롭고 사랑하는 삶을 함께 살도록 배웠죠.

I've seen people from opposite ends of the spectrum economically and politically that ended up in happy, lasting marriages.

나는 극과 극의 사람들을 보았죠 .. 경제적으로나 ..정치적으로나요... 그렇지만....결국 행복하고, 지속적인 결혼생활을 했던 분들이죠...

I've seen couples from different ethnic groups merge into harmonious relationships, and I've seen people form different religions come together for a strong, lasting bond.

나는 다른 인종집단 출신의 커플이 조화로운 관계로 잘 융화하는 걸 보았고 ..또 .... 사람들이 다양한 종교들을 좀 더 강력하고, 지속되는 결속으로 묶는 것을 잘 보아왔죠.

Furthermore, many good friends have little in common except a warm loving feeling of respect and rapport. That's the only essential thing.

더욱이, 많은 좋은 친구들은 공통적으로 갖고 있는 것들이 별로 없습죠 ..머만 빼고 ...요?? ... 따뜻한 느낌 ...음 머랄까 존경이나 ...친밀한 관계 요런거... 고것이 바로 유일한 필수적이 것이죠.

요러한 이해는 반드시 단순히 ..지적으로만 알고 있는거(짱구속 으로만 그러지 말고) ...."나는 우리가 다른걸 알아" 요런 걸 분명 넘어서야 하죠. 당신은 반드시 요런 생각을 가지고 삶속으로 녹아들게 맹글어야 합니당.

The way i see it, we have only two realistic choices.

그렇담, 내가 그걸 보는 방식에서, 우리는 두가지 현실적인 선택이 있당.

우리는 개별성의 원리(차이가 있을 수 있다는 걸) 깡그리 무시하고(저항하고), 걍 ....좌절만 하고 ...짜증만 내면 됩니다. 어떤 사실에?? 아무도 우리의 사고방식을 따르지 않는 것 처럼 보여 ..ㅠ.ㅠ 요러면서 말이죠.

The body has been viewed as a 'natural' phenomenon - a fixed, unchanging fact of nature. Recently, however, it is also being seen as a part of culture in the sense that it can be socially defined in different ways.

그리고 (C)를 보니 ...그들의 작업에서 ...라는 WORK가 나오는뎅 .....다시 (A)를 대충 훑어보니깐 ..now working with ~~ 어쩌고 저쩌고가 나오네여 ....

자 .. 그럼 Priview 대략 작성해 볼까여 ...

대략 요런 미리보기가 만들어 집니당. 사실, preview 만 잘 맹글어도 거의 90%에 육박하는 정답률을 만들 수 있지만...자신의 미리보기가 자신이 없다면 ..다시금 해석을 해보고 배치시키면 됩니당. 그리고 해석해 보는 건 필수겠죠^^ 해석은 패쑤 ^^

22. 다음 글에서 전체 흐름과 관계 없는 문장은?

Consider the following implication involving the role of social bonds and affection among group members. If strong bonds make even a swingle dissent less likely, the performance of groups and institutions will be impaired. (1) A study of investment clubs showed that the worst-performing clubs were built on affective ties and were primarily social, while the best-performing clubs limited social connections and focused on making money. (2) Dissent was far more frequent in the high-performing clubs. (3) The low performers usually voted unanimously, with little open debate. (4) As illustrated in the study, the high performers placed more importance on social bonds than the low performers, resulting in their high rate of success. (5) The central problem is the voters in low-performing groups wre trying to build social cohesion rather than to produce the highest returns.

Consider the following implication involving the role of social bonds and affection among group members. If strong bonds make even a single dissent less likely, the performance of groups and institutions will be impaired.

고려해 봐라 ...다음의 암시를 ...머를 포함한.... 사회적 결속의 역할과 그리고 그룹 멤버들간의 애정에 대해서. 만약 강력한 결속이 심지어 단 하나의 비동의(불일치)를 덜하게 한다면, 그룹이나 단체의 성과는 개판(저해) 될 것이다. ㅋㅋㅋ

투자클럽에 대한 어떤연구가... 보여주었다 .... 가장 못하는 클럽이 꼬~~ 옥 ....감정적인 끈에 연결이 되었고...보통 사교적인 성향이 짙었다... 반면 ....잘 하는 놈들은 .... 사회적인 연결을 제한했고.... 돈 만드는데만 몰두했다.

(공부 못하는 애들이 꼬옥~ 우리는 하나야~ 다 같이 ...모이자 ....놀자.--> 성적 개판 ㅎㅎ
반면, 공부잘하는 애들이 꼬옥~ 너는 너고 나는 나다..... 니꺼나 잘해 이 개이 쉐리야 ~!! .... --> 혼자 수능만점 ㅡㅡ;; )
p.s: 별 의도는 없습니다. 그냥 웃자고 한 얘깁니당 ^^;;

(2) Dissent was far more frequent in the high-performing clubs.

불일치(니꺼나 잘해)가 잘나가는 클럽에서 더욱 잘 나타났당.

(3) The low performers usually voted unanimously, with little open debate.

낮은 성과자들은 보통 만장일치로 투표했다...머 거의 공개토론도 하지 않고

20번. 다음 글의 밑줄 친 부분 중, 어법상 틀린 것은?

The word "courage" takes on added meaning if you keep in mind that it is derived from the Latin word 'cor'
(1)meaning 'heart' The dictionary defines courage as a 'quality which enables one to pursue a right course of action, through (2) which one may provoke disapproval, hostility, or contempt.'
Over 300 years ago La Rochefoucauld went a step further when he said: "Perfect courage is to do unwitnessed what we should be capable of doing before all men." It is not easy (3) to show moral courage in the face of either indifference or opposition. 어휘가 조금 어려운게 많네요 ㅠ.ㅠ:

take on (성질이나, 특징) 이 어떠한 양상을 띠다.
derive: ~로 에서 유래하다.
disapproval: 반대, 불만족
hostility: 적대심, 적대감
contempt: 경멸, 적개심
unwitnessed: 목격되지 않는
indifference: 무관심
opposition: 반대
wholehearted: 진심이 담긴
halfhearted: 마음이 그다지인, 반만 내키는
welfare: 복지, 행복
determination: 결심

단어 '용기'라는 단어는 추가적인 의미를 띠게 되는데... 만약 다음과 같은 걸 생각해 보면 말이죠... 그 단어(용기)가 라틴단어인 'cor' '마음'을 의미하는 단어에서 유래했다는 거.

사전은 용기를 "자질'로 정의를 하는뎅 ..고것은 말이죠... 어떤 사람을 올라른 행동을 추구하도록 해주고요.... 고거를 통해 어떤 사람은 아마 반대, 적대감, 경멸을 유발, (떠올리게) 할 수도 있습죠.

300년 전에 ...라 머시기라는 사람이 다음과 같이 말해서 한술 더 떴습니다: 완벽한 용기란 목격되지도 않는데도....우리가 무언가 할 수 있어야 되는는 걸 / 사람들 앞에서 / 하는 것이다.

It is not easy (3) to show moral courage in the face of either indifference or opposition. But persons who are daring in taking a wholehearted stand for truth often (4) achieving results that surpass their expectations.

보여주는 것은 쉽지는 않은 일이죠 ....도덕적인 용기를 .....무관심이나 반대에 직면해서말이죠.. 그렇지만 (진실에 있어 진심어린 태도를 취하는데 대담한 사람들) 종종 ...성취합니다 (동사자리) / 결과들을요 ....무슨 결과냐....그들의 기대를 능가하는 결과인 것이죠.

"문장 긴거 같지만 결국 영어는 ..... 몇가지 형태인 것 뿐이죠 .. 그 중에 3형식에 해당하는 주 + 동 + 목 형태에서 동사가 잘못 적혔네요 ..(achieving으로요)...

괄호로 ..묶어 볼까여?

(persons who are daring in taking a wholehearted stand for truth)
                           s (대가리 주어)

   (achieve)        (results that surpass their expectations.)
v (몸통 동사)                O (다리 목적어)

On the other hand, halfhearted individuals are seldom distinguished for courage even when it involves (5) their own welfare. To be courageous under all circumstances requires strong determination.

반면에, 별로 내켜하지 않은 사람들은 용기가 거의 구별되지 않는다.. 심지어 그것이 자신의 행복을 포함했을때두오 .... 모든 환경에서 용기를 갖는 것은 단호한 결심이 필요합니다.

정답은 4번 achieving --> aachieve 로 ~~ 고고싱 !!

Kate and Joan, who had not seen each other for three months, were chatting happily in Joan's apartment. After a short conversation, Joan went to prepare coffee. Soon (1) She came back with the cups and saucers and put them down on a small side table. While Joan was looking for tablecloth, Kate was wandering around the room looking at the pictures on the walls. 즉, 누가 가해자(?)ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ이고 누가 피해자(?) 인 것만 명확하게 구별하면 오답이 나올 수가 없겠네염 ^^ v

South Korea's first space rocket successfully lifted off from the country's launch pad on the southern coast Tuesday but failed to put a scientific satellite into the target orbit, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said. The rocket, called the Korea Space Launch Vehicle-1 (KSLV-1), soared into the sky at 5 p.m. from Naro Space Center and had to separate from a scientific satellite at an altitude of 306 km. University students in several of my seminar classes sat in a circle and each student took turns telling the others his or her name. At the end of the round of introductions, the students were asked to write down the names of as many other students as they could remember. In almost every case, students wrote down the names of students that were seated far away from them. However, surprisingly, they weren't able to recall the names of students who were seated close to them. This effect was worst for the students who sat on either side of them. You see the world as one big contest, where everyone is competing everyone else.
You feel that there is a set amount of good and bad fortune out there. You believe that there is no way that everyone can have everything. When other people fail, you feel there's a better chance for you to succeed. However, there is not a limited supply of resources out there. When one person wins, everyone wins. Every victory one person makes is a breakthrough for all. Whenever an Olympic swimmer sets a new world record, it inspires others to bring out the best within them and go beyond that achievement to set new records of human performance. Whenever a geneticist unlocks new secrets of the DNA molecule, it adds to our knowledge base and enables us to better the human condition. Remember that life is a game where there are multiple winners.

2) 인생은 예상치 못한 변수로 가득하다.
3) 성공하는 사람들은 성취동기가 분명하다.
4) 자원이 한정된 세상에서 경쟁은 불가피하다.

세상을 하나의 큰 경연으로 본다...라.... 그곳에서는 모든이가 서로서로 경쟁하고 있지요....

거기에는 좋은 것도 있을 수 있고 나쁠 수 도 있음을 느끼죠. 그리고 .... 모든이가 모든 것을 가질 수 있는 방법은 없다고 생각합니당. 그리고.... 다른 사람이... 실패하게 되면.... 당신이 성공할 수 있는 좀 더 좋은 기회가 있다고 생각하게 됩니당.

일반적으로 ..... 니가 실패해서 못먹게 되면 ... ~~~ 다른 사람이 그걸 주워 먹고~ 일단락 된다...라는 아주 부정적인 늬앙스를 문장의 서두에서~ 풍기지만 .....

서두에서 했던 말을 .....

(순접 순접하게 되면 :긍정) 결국 ...경쟁사회에서..... 다른 사람의 실패는 ~ 나에게만 기회지 머~!!
(역접:부정) 한 사람의 실패는~~ 단순 실패가 아니고~ 또 나에게만 기회가 생기는 것은 아니지...... 뭔가 긍정적인 ..... 것이 있지 !!!!

However, 바로 뒷 문장에서~~~ (역접: 서두에서 했던 말을 엎어 버립니당.)

■ 실마리가 풀리는 구절 입니당....

However, there is not a limited supply of resources out there. When one person wins, everyone wins. Every victory one person makes is a breakthrough for all.
