Jimin is a tenth-grade student at Riverside High School in Austin, Texas.

She is an exchange student from Seoul, Korea.

그녀는 교환학생입니다... 서울, 한국출신이죱


The two schools established a link ten years ago and have been exchanging students on a regular basis ever since.

두 학교는 설립했죠 연결을(업무협약) 10년전에 말이죠... 그리고 학생들을 교환해 오고 있습니다... 정기적으로 말이에요 ... 기 이후로.


She will spend a year in the U.S. away from home.
그녀는 1년을 보낼 겁니다... 미국에서 ..집에서 떨어져서.


She lives with her host family two blocks from school.
그녀는 그녀의 호스트 가족들과 2블록 학교에서 떨어진 곳에서 삽니다.


Jimin already misses her family and friends, but at the same time, she looks forward to a rewarding year at a completely new school in a totally different environment.                                                a. 보람있는, 보상하는

Today is Jimin's first day at school.
오늘은 지민이의 첫째날입니다... 학교에서


She begins a new chapter of her life.
그녀는 시작합니다... 그녀의 삶의 첫번째 장을요.


School starts at eight in the morning, which is not bad compared to the schedule she was used to. 
   = 학교가 아침 8시에 시작하는 것을 (통째로 받음)   compared to N: N와 비교해서  ↖↙ 
학교는 시작합니다...8시에 .. 아침에요, 그것은 나쁘지 않습니다... 비교해 보았을때 ...(어디에?) 스케쥴인데 .. 그녀가 익숙한 스케쥴인 것이죠.


During lunch, Jimin eats (a sandwich and an apple) [             ] her host family prepared for her.

She has some free time before her afternoon classes start.
그녀는 휴식시간이 있습니다.... 그녀의 오후 수업이 시작하기 전에 말이에요.


She decides to take a brief tour of the school library.
그녀는 결심했습니다.... 간단한 구경을 하기로요 .. 학교 도서관을 말이죠.


She is amazed by the number of books there.
그녀는 놀랐습니다... 거기있는 수 책들의 수에 의해 말이죠.


What really catches her attention is the student club ads on the bulletin board.

She wonders to herself, "Which club should I join?"

Jimin really likes her afternoon classes: PE, math, and science. 
                                                        체육
지민이는 정말 그녀의 오후 수업들을 좋아합니다: 체육, 수학, 그리고 과학을요.


She thinks that the teachers are really nice and dedicated to teahing, but she is worried that there is going to be too much homework, especially in science class.
그녀는 생각합니다... 선생님들이 정말 멋지고 헌신적이라는 것을요 ... 가르치는 것에, 그렇지만 그녀는 걱정스럽습니다... 너무 많은 숙제가 있을까봐요, 특히 과학수업에서욥.


She has to struggle not only (with the content) but also (with the English language).

However, Jimin is happy that there is a different group of kids in each class.
그렇지만, 지민이는 행복합니다... 많은 다양한 아이들의 그룹들이 .. 각 수업에 있어서요.


She is outgoing and lovers to make new friends.

그녀는 외향적입니다... 그리고 새로운 친구를 만들기를 좋아하는 사람입니다.


School is over by 3:30, so Jimin has lots of free time in the afternoon.
학교는 3:30분에 끝납니다, 그래서 지민이는 많은 자유시간이 있습니다.. 오후에욥


Perhaps she can pick up a new hobby and bring it back to Korea. 
아마 그녀는 새로운 취미를 골라서 그리고 그것을 한국으로 다시 가져올 수 있습니다.

Jimin waits for her new friend from math class, Sally.
지민이는 그녀의 새로운 친구를 기다립니다.. 수학시간에 사귄 친구죠, 샐리를.

They live on the same block, so they are going to walk home together.
그들은 같은 블록에 삽니다, 그래서 그들은 집에 함께 걸어갈겁니다.

In fact, Sally wants to know more about Korea: her older brother is teaching English at a middle school in Busan, Korea.
사실은, 샐리는 원합니다.. 더욱 더 많이 알기를요 ..학국에 관해: 그녀의 오빠는 영어를 가르치고 있습니다.. 부산에 있는 중학교에서.

jImin waits for Sally in front of the bulletin board in the schoolyard. 
지민이는 샐리를 기다립니다.... 게시판 앞에서 .... 운동장에 있는.

Several notices marked " Swap Shop " catch her attention. Jimin says to herself, "Perhaps I can get something useful." 
몇몇 알림들이 ... " 교환 가게" 라고 적혀진 ... 그녀의 이목을 사로잡습니다. 지민이는 자신에게 말합니다, " 아마 나는 유용한것을 얻을 수 있을거야"

I have a pair of blue jeans that are too tight for me.

The jeans are size 12, but they are more like size 10. I have never worn them.
